We arrived two days late after train cancellations and transport problems, and the staff were still very accommodating. They helped us plan the next part of our trip north through Vietnam, and they can arrange pretty much any tour. The main historic area is a bit of a walk, though not too far, and they have inexpensive bicycles. It's a quiet spot with a nice balcony. Breakfast was quick, tasty, and inexpensive, and they also do laundry on site. One odd thing: the shower water started out very hot, possibly because the cold-water pipes get sun, then settled to a normal temperature.

The family running Yellow House Homestay made us feel at home, and the manager son was especially helpful and spoke very good English. Our room was cozy and very clean, with air conditioning, a small balcony, and comfortable beds. Breakfast was included and very good. We're vegan, and they were flexible about changing the menu for us. It's about a 15-minute walk along the riverside to the city center. A lovely place for travelers wanting a real homestay experience.

The family made everything easy for us and were such good hosts. They gave us recommendations, and laundry was done quickly. Breakfast was delicious and the cheapest we've seen. We'd definitely recommend staying here.

The room was spacious and clean, with plenty of windows and a nice street view. It had a refrigerator, and the Wi-Fi worked decently well. The bathroom was basic but large. Bike rental was inexpensive and made the trip into town easy, and the river path area is close by. Customer service was decent, though I had to wait while people who arrived later booked a trip through their in-house tourist services. The photos show the upstairs triple room.

You can borrow one of the hosts' bicycles and get to town in about 15 minutes, or rent a bike instead. Vickys, a good pizza place, is within walking distance too. The hosts were friendly, helpful, and accommodating, and can arrange the many tours and adventures. It's a wonderful homestay, with a good, simple breakfast.
