Dalat Edensee Lake Resort & Spa

The lake and gardens were beautiful and so peaceful to wander around. The flower beds and rose gardens are clearly cared for, and you can take a scenic ride on an electric hybrid boat. We were welcomed warmly, enjoyed a tea break and a lovely breakfast, and found our rooms clean when we arrived. The peacocks are beautiful to see, with around 40 roaming the grounds, but their mating and alarm calls can be really annoying at dusk and at night. The sound echoes around the hills, and the cool, moist air seems to carry it, so it gets loud enough to disturb sleep. Some of the facilities feel neglected. The gym and pool are poorly maintained, common areas have a lot of damp and mold, and it’s unclear whether the piano is just for display. It’s sad to see the beautiful architecture and furniture deteriorating. It gives the impression management may care more about keeping the flowers and peacocks photogenic than guests’ wellbeing. I hope they’ll focus more attention on the things that matter.

The room was excellent, and the location and grounds were great. Staff were professional and very good. The only issue in the room was that the light by the mirror was dim. As a non-vegetarian Indian, I didn’t find the breakfast options very useful for me, though there was a good variety of items. A free minivan runs to the city center and back at set intervals.

The hotel has a beautiful garden beside Tuyen Lam Lake, and the food was good. But 40 peacocks roam the grounds, and although they’re beautiful, they scream loudly and continuously from 5 am to 7 pm. We expected a relaxing retreat and ended up feeling annoyed. It would have been a five-star stay without that noise.

I loved walking around the lake and seeing peacocks all over the grounds. It’s a really nice place close to dalat, with a certain charm to it. I stayed on the top floor of the mimosa villa and slept very well. Breakfast was lovely, and all the staff were professional and nice. Special thanks to the guard who took me on his motorbike in the rain when there were no taxis available. I’m very grateful for that incredibly kind gesture.
