La Serena Hotel & Apartment

The receptionist was very friendly, and the hotel is on a smaller, quieter street in a nice location. I didn't end up staying, though. The pictures don't reflect how the rooms currently look; they're much older and weren't clean. I found hair on the floor, and both the bathroom and blanket were dirty. Check the room before booking.

The front desk staff were great. We needed an extra room for a friend, and the woman at the desk arranged it without any trouble. The rooms are spacious and clean, and daily housekeeping did a good job. My only complaint was the shower head, which wasn't working properly. I reported it to the front desk, but it wasn't fixed during my stay. The location is excellent.

The room was clean with a green view, and the atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. Service was nice, but the equipment felt sparse and the TV didn't work. The hand sink pipe also seemed faulty, and water ran onto the floor. The price didn't feel appropriate.

When they reassigned our room to someone else without telling us, the hotel then said we’d have to pay twice the Booking price we’d originally agreed to if we still wanted to stay. It was already 9pm, and they seemed to assume we had no choice. We left and found another hotel.
