Saigon Cozy Hotel

You’re right by Bùi Viện, so the nightlife is just a minute away, but inside the room it was calm and quiet. The staff were friendly, helpful and polite from the moment I arrived, and the room was clean, comfortable and well kept after a day exploring the city. I had a great stay at Saigon Cozy Hotel and would happily return on my next visit to Saigon. For the comfort and location, I thought it was a great choice for the price.

The room smelled bad as soon as we opened the door, but the worst part was having no hot water for a shower. When I asked the receptionist, he couldn’t give me a clear answer. My husband went to the desk and was told the water came from a solar system, so there was no hot water when it rained. I called again several times, but he ignored my number. When he finally answered, he cheekily said hot water wasn’t listed in the booking information. I strongly suggest people don’t book this hotel.

The service was pathetic, and the person at reception was the worst I’ve come across on my many trips. When I was about to leave an honest review, he started complaining that we had damaged the bed. The limited breakfast didn’t meet our needs either. The hotel isn’t on the main road, so you have to walk down a street where only bikes can go. If you book a room with a balcony, you’ll have to carry your luggage up to the fifth floor because there’s no lift. Don’t put too much faith in other people’s reviews. This stay ruined my Vietnam experience.

The staff at the entrance were friendly, and the place wasn’t dirty, which was nice. Still, the rooms didn’t feel worth the price. My blanket had a hole, and the toilet room was really humid. The location is nice if you want to be right by the loud street and the centre, but that’s not what I’m looking for. I ordered eggs for breakfast, and they came covered in oil.
