The staff were the best part of our stay. They were excellent, kind, quick to answer questions, and always helpful. We were on the top floor for two nights in mid-February 2026, and the room was so bright and noisy that neither of us slept. The windows and doors let every sound straight in, and the curtains barely blocked any light. We left more tired than when we arrived.
The location made it easy to enjoy both a quiet setting and nearby local restaurants, with the beach only a short walk away. I spent more than a week at Cagina Boutique Hostel and had a wonderful time. The design is lovely, cozy, and stylish throughout. The staff were genuinely friendly and made me feel at home, and it had everything I needed for a convenient stay. Great for relaxing or exploring, and I'd happily come back.
The hotel looked fairly clean and modern, but there were no bins in the ladies' toilets, and the cafe and kitchen never opened during our stay. The dorms were loud and bright, with broken blinds and hardly any privacy. My locker was broken too, so I had nowhere secure for my things. The reception staff were very young and hard to communicate with. Nobody explained the door situation at check-in. When we returned from dinner at 11 pm, the hotel was dark and the doors were padlocked. A man downstairs let us in, then locked up again. It was worrying to think we could have been locked out if we'd come back any later. Staff shut the wooden shutters in the passage outside our dorm at night but left metal fixtures sticking out into the dark hallway. Three of us tripped over them on separate occasions and cut our feet.

I went during the Happy New Year period, and a Vietnamese family was staying in the dorm room too. They started a party in the shared space right beside the room. Staff said they couldn't stop them because of the Happy New Year custom, so I ended up storming out of the hostel. Music was already a problem before that. Staff played it in their own room, and it carried straight into the dormitory upstairs. This felt less like accommodation and more like a noisy music house. If you're from a civilized country, DO NOT stay here. You'll see a disgusting toilet with a cleaning toilet stick left lying around.
