The room was okay, but the lighting was very dark and it smelled a little musty. The hotel is a bit far from the central area, though a Grab takes about 5-10 minutes. It was close to the beach, which was great, but I couldn’t use the open-air pool because rain during the few days I was there left the water cloudy. I wouldn’t stay again. It’s away from the busier restaurant area, and the room quality was just okay.

The location is still excellent, just a few minutes’ walk from the beach, but this visit was a letdown after the wonderful stay I had here four years ago. The hotel seems to have gone downhill. Our room floor was dirty and the bedding felt damp. No one helped with our luggage or showed us to the room, and construction next door was noisy during the day.

The manager refused to give us a full refund for our booking, so I can’t give any stars for the rooms or service. All three rooms we booked were in the same disgusting condition: they smelled of mold, with mold growing on the walls, bedheads, and in the bathrooms, and the beds were full of bedbugs. We refused to stay, but still weren’t refunded in full. Don’t book this hotel unless mold and bedbugs are what you want.

The hotel has a lovely natural feel and the staff were good, but it’s old and not very clean, with lots of dust. Dust even stuck to the food containers. The bathroom was broken, and the room’s air conditioner didn’t cool properly.
