SIC Hotel

My family rented a room at Sic Hotel for two and a half days. The place was run-down and poor quality, and the price wasn’t cheap for the room we booked. There were hardly any amenities. Most of the light bulbs were broken, so the room was very dark, and nobody fixed them. It wasn’t cleaned each day, and there were lots of mosquitoes. The service was the worst part. We had agreed with the owner at check-in that we’d leave by 5 PM, and paid a half-day surcharge. But before 3:30 PM the owner came upstairs and kicked us out. Think carefully before booking here.

The extra 300k VND charge at checkout was the last straw. After checking in at 7:30 PM for an overnight stay at Sic Hotel - Dong Hoi, I paid 350k VND for a worn-down room with just two shampoo packets and one towel. When I politely asked to borrow a hairdryer, the elderly receptionist was unpleasant and handed me one with three prongs but no suitable socket, telling me to "find your own socket." I returned it and let the matter go, then went out for lunch at 1 PM and checked out. They charged extra without giving proper help during the stay. Terrible service and not worth the price. I won't return, and anyone thinking of booking should think twice.

The owner is really friendly, and the hotel is cool and affordable.
