The hotel was decent value, though I wouldn't stay again unless there were a really good deal. Inside was generally clean, but the decor felt very dated. My bed frame creaked and seemed to be coming apart, yet the soft bed and quiet room still let me get some good sleep. The laundry service was poor: there were still hairs on my socks, detergent marks on my clothes, and a strong cheap detergent smell on everything.
At around 200k VND through Agoda, the room might have been okay, but 550k VND for it wasn't worth it. There was a slight musty smell, and the mattress was old, dusty, and had insects. The bathroom was awful too, with a grimy, dirty bathtub and insects flying around.
The room felt old, the air conditioner smelled awful, and the TV didn't work. On top of that, the staff's attitude was terrible, and each person quoted a different amount. We were first told 400k VND for checking in for two days, then at checkout they quoted 450k VND for a one-day stay. For a hotel in District 1, the whole experience was terrible.
It has the feel of an old Korean inn. The building is dated, and there were small bugs in the rooms, though that's about what the price suggests. The doors need a key to open. Staff were friendly, and it's near the Beitan Market, but the rooms are old and the beds aren't very good. I only stopped in to rest and shower after a late-night flight, then checked out late that evening.
The rooms are spacious and have a bathtub, and the rates seem reasonable next to other hotels nearby. It's right in the city center, though the place feels a little old and the parking area is small. It was okay overall.
