Ninh Binh Family Homestay

Thanh and his family were lovely hosts and made us feel at home. The room was clean and comfortable, and the food the family cooked was tasty and authentic. It's a quiet, relaxed spot, with bicycles and motorbikes available to rent for getting around. They also have a sweet little dog named Bin. We had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend it.

We had such a good stay that we ate dinner here two or three times. The food reminded us of home, which meant a lot coming from a Vietnamese-American household after some mixed food experiences elsewhere. Mrs. Thanh's cooking was a real highlight, and breakfast was delicious and included. The family runs the place with care, making it feel like a real home. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with very strong AC, and we were offered an upgrade to a poolside suite. We rented a semi-automatic scooter for the whole stay, 200k a day and 45k for gas, which lasted all three days. Thanh also put together an itinerary for free. We chose to explore on our own, and nobody pressured us to take a tour. Everyone has a part in making the place welcoming. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Our family of seven stayed four nights in September, and the afternoon bike rides with Mr. Thanh were a favorite. He led us himself, sharing a side of Vietnam we might otherwise have missed, and arranged everything thoughtfully, even setting up bikes so our younger kids could join. We also liked heading out in the mornings and swimming in the afternoons. Mr Thanh and Miss Hang were kind and diligent hosts, and the property was exceptionally well run. We ate breakfast, dinner, and a few lunches there, and those were our favorite meals. Ms Hang's special sauce on the table each night is not to be missed. Every detail worked wonderfully for our family. This place felt like a little piece of heaven, and we loved it.

The room was simple but spacious, clean, and had what we needed to relax. We could rent motorbikes or mountain bikes, or just use a push bike for a short ride around. Thanh was great at helping shape our plans, booking things, and getting us to local sights. The food was the best we had in town, with lots of fresh garden produce. The host and family were so welcoming and looked after us really well.
