It was a Saturday night and this may have been the last bed available in town. The location was great, and we were welcomed nicely on arrival. We paid 350 for a Seaview room, but it was dirty, the power points didn't work, and there was used soap in the bathroom. Noise was a real problem, both from other guests and from karaoke and restaurants near the beach. The place could be good, but standards need to improve.

Nguyet Anh Guesthouse is just 10m from the beach and works well if you're looking for budget accommodation. My room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was hot. What stood out most was the family running the place, who did everything they could to make the stay pleasant. I really enjoyed their home cooked meals too. I'll be back in the summer months.

Quan was kind and helpful, and made it easier for us to connect with Vietnamese people during our stay. We enjoyed the good value food and our clean, pleasant balcony room with a sea view. This little beach town was lovely, and we'd come back. If you're after a quiet spot a bit of the beaten track, with friendly Vietnamese locals, this guesthouse is a good fit.

We took a road all the way to the beach and came across this place by chance. The hostel owner waved us over and showed us an upstairs room with a balcony facing the ocean. Since it was off season, the beach was beautiful and quiet. I had a peaceful early morning walk with the whole beach to myself. We ate dinner and breakfast cooked in house, and the room was amazing value for somewhere right on the beach. It was cheaper than anywhere we've seen in Vietnam. I'd recommend this authentic family run guest house, especially the upstairs verandah room.

I stayed here for one night because of the weather, and I think I may have been the only guest. The cheaper hotel I stayed at in Hue was infinitely better. It felt like a monopoly situation: when you have nowhere else to go, you can end up in a really bad situation.
