Nhat Minh Hotel and Apartment

The location is a big plus, with lots of good restaurants nearby and the amazing beach and sea just a three minute walk away. Nights outside are very quiet, and the bed and pillow are extremely soft. The rooms are decent, but the service was honestly middling. Some staff were great, others seemed not to care. They didn’t give me water when I arrived, and the only water in the room was in the fridge. I thought it was included, but they charged me for it at checkout. The pool and gym look pretty bad and aren’t good. Aside from that, I’d kind of recommend the place if you’re not after anything too crazy.

The breakfast was below average, and the bathroom was in poor condition. The room quality felt closer to a one-star hotel, with basic things missing, even a room phone. We booked a sea-view room, but it wasn’t available when we arrived. They gave us a city-view room without offering another option or compensation. We were also charged 120,000 VND for hotel slippers that someone else had accidentally taken outside the hotel, even after we explained what happened. This does not meet four-star standards, and I consider it a waste of money. There are much better sea-facing hotels nearby at similar prices. I strongly don’t recommend it. In reply to the owner: I’m not sure which “honest review” from guests you mean. Other guests have also given your hotel a low 3.8-star rating. Calling a city-view room “higher-class” isn’t acceptable. Sea-view rooms cost more, so describing the city-view room as an upgrade doesn’t make sense and feels unrealistic. Guests can readily notice the difference between this hotel and others. You can justify the hotel or call my feedback impolite, but the quality still doesn’t measure up to other hotels. Each guest can decide and experience it for themselves. Thanks.

Cheap, and it shows. The place smelled like a Marlboro man convention in a pigsty. The floors were filthy enough that I tried cleaning them with a towel, and there were long hairs that couldn’t be mine since I’m bald. Nobody had cleaned under the bed. This is only the second poo emoji in my 16 years of traveling the globe, so I’m never coming back. As a bonus, drilling into the adjoining wall woke me at 7 am. No way is this a four-star place.

Mr Minh deserves special thanks. When bad weather cancelled our Cham Island tour, he arranged a Da Nang and Hoi An sightseeing trip instead, and took us himself. He was our driver, guide, and photographer, all for a reasonable price. You can book the hotel directly rather than through a tour agency, and Mr Minh will take care of the itinerary. We were fortunate to spend three nights here. The rooms were neat and clean, the service was very good, and the hotel is in a prime spot with the sea within walking distance.
