Eva Hotel

This is a medium-sized hotel in a handy spot along the main road in the Ha Long Bay area, so getting around is easy. The staff are well trained and service minded, and the place had everything we needed for a pleasant stay.

It was quiet here, with hardly a crowd, which made the two-night stay especially peaceful. The rooms were clean and had a touch of luxury, and everything went smoothly. Staff were responsive, and the location was easy to reach. Breakfast had a limited selection, though it was good enough. The grand piano was out of this world. I’d definitely suggest staying here.

The room smelled bad, the hotel felt old, and the bathroom floor was very slippery. I’d asked for the room to be made up in the morning, but when I got back in the evening it was still as it had been. At night there was nobody at reception, and there was no air conditioning in the hallway or lobby. Only one receptionist spoke English. I don’t know what the management is doing. I wouldn’t recommend it, better book somewhere else. I also don’t know why so few people in this country speak English, even taxi drivers.

We left something in the restaurant and the staff were ready right away to send it back. They’re helpful and speak English. The beds are soft, WiFi is strong, and even the city view rooms overlook the bay. A very convenient hotel.
