Halong Glory Legend Cruise

Tam was a fantastic hostess. The cruise is highly structured, with plenty of activities, so it's not really geared toward lounging on board. You can do that if you want, but you need to let the staff know. Halong Bay is very busy, and the tour companies can't let guests spend hours lounging on the beach. For that, you'd need to book something more focused or more expensive. We had cooking class, tai chi and happy hour on the boat. The activities were fun and taught us about local customs and culture, and we also saw impressive government curated exhibits about nature and society. The sights, food and service were all excellent, and everyone had a great time.

We spent three days on the deluxe cruise with ocean views, and they served fruit and wine in the room. From the Glory Sundeck we took lots of wonderful photos of Halong. We also kayaked and visited Sung Sot cave, the most beautiful cave in Halong. Halong Glory Legend was great and very clean. We loved it and would come back.

Ha Long Bay is still an amazing place, and I'd definitely recommend this trip. The staff were great, the rooms nice and clean, and the food was amazing. We did find the bay busy and not very clean, with rubbish in the water and far too many boats. It's sad, and hopefully things will change before the place looks like a rubbish dump and people stop coming. There were so many trips to choose from, but I'm glad we picked this one.

We enjoyed the trip on this nice boat. The itinerary was well planned, with the choice of joining activities or taking it easy and enjoying the views. Staff were very friendly and the food was very good. The cooking class was fun, but squid fishing was poorly organised. The helpers didn't seem interested and left everyone to figure it out, which was disappointing since we really wanted to try it. Our room was nice, though a bit old, and having a boiler for hot water made showers pleasant. Drinks were expensive.
