Hung Vuong Hotel

At Hùng Vương, the owners were attentive, and the cozy feel stood out. Even though it’s central, nights were surprisingly quiet. The place was spotless and everything worked as it should, so I felt comfortable and relaxed from arrival. It’s just minutes from Halong Bay and close to traditional Vietnamese markets. There are plenty of places to eat nearby, from street food stalls to local restaurants, plus cafes and bars within walking distance. The room was comfortable and well equipped, with a fridge stocked with drinks and food you can prepare on the spot if you get hungry. The air conditioning was great on hot days. It also worked well for online work, with a good desk, a comfortable chair and excellent internet speed. I recommend Hùng Vương to anyone visiting Halong Bay.

There’s a lot nearby, from shops and restaurants to local street food, cafes, the beach and a way up the mountain. We also got a taxi to the harbor, which the boss ordered for us. I’d asked for two rooms with two beds, and that’s what I got. We enjoyed the hotel and the area, and I’m grateful for the help. Good luck with future clients! The staff were welcoming and helpful, and the room exceeded my expectations. The street is very quiet. The room was beautiful, with a toilet and shower, and there were two cups on the table for tea or coffee. When we wanted hot water, we got it. There’s an elevator, too.

A good budget option, with a very nice owner. The rooms are small but have big beds. I didn’t like the plastic layer under the bed linen, and another blanket would have been useful.

The owners helped us arrange bike hire and transfers to our next stop. It’s a lovely hotel in a perfect location.
