Kim greeted our huge group like old friends when we turned up in Ha Long at 4 a.m. with nowhere to stay. He made the whole visit easy from the start. He took care of our laundry, set up a Ha Long Bay cruise and a shuttle back to Hanoi airport, took us to dinner, played pickleball with us, and showed us a great night out in town. His English is perfect, and he's one of the kindest people I've met on my travels. He was always glad to help, never made anything feel like a burden, and clearly wanted everyone to have a good time. He went above and beyond every day. I've been around Asia for a month, and this was easily my favorite stay. By the end, Kim felt like a friend more than a host. If you're in Ha Long, stay with Kim. You won't regret it.

The owners were so kind and helpful, and the homestay was in great shape and super clean. It was excellent value for money. Thanks for helping arrange the next part of my journey, I really appreciated it. I highly recommend staying here!

My partner and I only came by to do laundry, and we ended up leaving with so much help from Kim. We wanted to visit Cat Ba island but had no idea how to get there. Kim explained the route, rented us a scooter, and we had a fantastic couple of days. His partner booked us an overnight bus to Ha Giang, then at the last minute Kim found us a Ha Giang loop tour for the next day. Our cards weren't working when it came time to pay, but he let us leave a cash deposit and settle the rest once we reached Ha Giang. The tour was incredible. Kim's partner even went out of her way to buy us bahn mis for the overnight bus because she was worried we'd get hungry. They're absolutely lovely people.

At 101,250 VND a night, it's very affordable. The owner is lovely, speaks English well, and can arrange package tours, buses to places like Hanoi and Sapa, and motorbike rentals. The room is spacious and comfortable. With just two guests in an eight-bed room, it feels really relaxed.

They gave me four extra hours before checkout when I was unwell, and sorted out a boat trip and transport to our next stop. The breakfast was amazing, and the laundry came back spotless in under 12 hours. Such a friendly, lovely place to stay. I highly recommend it :)
