Great value for money, with a clean, nice room. Best shower we had in Vietnam, finally good water pressure and hot water that kept going. The owner is a very nice, decent man. He tried to add 3% when we wanted to pay by card, but gave us a price even lower than what we’d seen on booking. An honest man. It was amazing how helpful he was, even without good English. I’d definitely go again. There are nets on all the windows, but there are lots of mosquitoes in this area.

The Owner and his wife were wonderful, treating us so sincerely that we felt at home. They gave us great suggestions for places to eat and play, and helped us book a cruise to discover Halong Bay. We had a family vacation in Tuan Chau, Ha Long, and staying at Minh Duc Hotel was the best accommodation decision we made. It exceeded our expectations and was a perfect family-friendly retreat. Thank you so much, we’ll definitely come back next time.

The lack of nearby restaurants was a problem, and our bed had no blanket. The owner refused to give us one. There were stains on the sheets, and sometimes there was no water. Payment was cash only. Honestly, it was a disappointing experience, especially since all the other hotels we stayed at in Vietnam were great. Not a good hotel for tourists.

It got pretty loud around 6 am as lots of people nearby moved to boats. The room itself was basic and fairly priced, and the hot tub was a great treat after a day on the road.

I’d already booked and paid, but when I arrived there was no one at reception. The cleaning lady came over, but she didn’t speak English. I tried explaining that I’d paid, and she still told me to pay again. I had to get her to call the owner before it was finally sorted out. It felt like they were trying to rip me off.
