Poseidon hotel

My family had reserved two nights, but when we arrived, we were told the hotel only had one night available. The manager blamed the staff instead of trying to help us, and their attitude was unacceptable. It was a very disappointing stay. The hotel needs to take a look at how it manages service.

The lack of respect for guest privacy was the biggest problem. At 9am, while we were still asleep, a staff member opened our room door without permission, then reminded us that checkout was at 11am. That was unacceptable and a terrible way to wake up. There was also an issue with the drinking water. The Agoda listing said it was free, but when I asked at the front desk, the staff member said I had to pay, even after I showed them the app. That felt deceptive and like false advertising. The whole stay was a massive disappointment. Between this, the rude staff, and the disregard for guests, I would strongly advise people to avoid this hotel. I expect much better service and accommodation. This experience was unacceptable.

A great host, and a comfortable, welcoming stay.

The penthouse gave us a fantastic ocean view, and the room was spacious, clean, and nicely furnished. We stayed five days, and the family who runs the hotel were incredibly kind and generous, even helping with a few personal needs. It’s good value for the price. You’ll probably want a bike to get around: there are a few local restaurants, shops, and cafes nearby, but it’s outside downtown. That does make it quieter, if that’s what you’re after.
