Sun Halong Hotel

The breakfast was the worst I've ever had. They wouldn't replace my towel after it got stuck in the toilet. Just bad.

The rooms are roomy and look nice, but a lot falls apart when you look closer. The toilet door handle and bidet shower were among the broken things. It wasn't clean either, my feet turned black if I walked around without shoes. Shower temperature kept swinging from cold to very hot.

The location was the only good part. The room had hair everywhere and felt almost abandoned, and the hotel was very dirty. Staff were nearly impossible to communicate with. Paying by card took 20 minutes, maybe we were the first customers to try that method.

I came to the country on vacation to see family, and we were unlucky to end up here. The rooms feel like a gamble, and it seemed like the hotel only cared about appearances for foreigners. The door kept beeping until we fiddled with the lock several times, and the handle was sticky. There was hair in the folds of the sheets and on the bed, plus random marks, one faint one that looked like blood or feces. The mirror had mystery stains, the shower and bath window looked like it hadn't been cleaned since day one, the thin walls were stained, and there was what looked like mold or another stain by the fridge. After lifting the whole sheet to find a clean place to sleep, we found even more brown spots. Those sheets should have been replaced regardless of how small or faint the marks were. Dirt of any kind in a hotel is negligence. I'm very disappointed, though not surprised.
