Villa Hanh Phuc Bai Chay

We chose a small, locally run place because we like supporting those businesses, so we booked a massage and laundry. We paid the owner 600,000 VND for the massage, but afterward the masseuses asked us for more, saying they were subcontractors and had only received what we handed them directly. We found massages for much less in town. The location also wasn’t as close to major facilities as it appeared. There’s a construction site right across from it, and a mega club downwind that pumps loud music, so getting sleep may be difficult. On our way out, we saw monogrammed sheets and towels drying on a line along the footpath. When we got back, our own laundry was hanging out on the street. It was returned the next day washed and folded, but still wet. The rooms have digital door locks that don’t work. You just press the door and it opens, so although it looks secure, it isn’t. There was no hot water in the shower and no body wash, though luckily we’d brought our own. The towels were very old and worn. The owners were polite to us throughout, so I have no complaint about that. I’ll upload photos later.
