Booking.com showed this place at 9+, so I was pretty disappointed. There are no windows, and it’s about a 20-minute drive from the old quarter. I’m living in China right now, so I judge prices by what things cost there rather than in USD, and even at $20 a night I wasn’t happy with the value. The bed and floor were hard, the staff couldn’t speak any English, and it’s far from the fun stuff. As a single guy 15 years ago, I’d have been fine with it for $15-20. In 2026, with my wife and kid, none of us slept well.
