The location made it easy to get around, with plenty of restaurants and services within walking distance. Our room was comfortable too, with powerful air conditioning and hot water that stayed strong, both very welcome in Vietnam. We only stayed one night, but the young man and woman running the hotel made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. They offered useful recommendations and helped us book an evening tour, which made things simple. The woman also suggested banh da cua, a local specialty, and we got to try it. The stay was excellent value. We’d happily return and recommend it to anyone visiting Cat Ba Island.

Thanh is a great guy and was ready to help with anything. I’d pick a lake-facing room: the big windows let in lots of light, and it stays cooler than the hotels across the lake. There can be some morning noise, but it’s still quieter than the real center. Breakfast is served on the rooftop on the 6th floor, and Quiri restaurant is just 20m away. Thanks, Thanh!

Thang did so much to make our time on Cat Ba as good as possible, and we both really enjoyed staying here. The hotel was clean and well located, and breakfast was included. We also rented a scooter from the hotel for a good price. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Cat Ba.

We missed the 9 o’clock breakfast cutoff because we hadn’t realized it ended then, but the staff still made breakfast for us. They were really helpful throughout, and when I left my sunglasses behind, they brought them to our cruise agency. The rooms were great too.

The front desk service was spot on, and the room was nice. We rented a motorcycle at a very affordable rate, and our laundry was turned around quickly.
