Catba Papillon Garden Bungalow & Resort

The garden is gorgeous and clearly well cared for, and the restaurant is lovely with breakfast included. We really enjoyed our four nights here. It’s farther from the center, which makes it much quieter. You can rent a scooter on site; ours was a little old but worked fine. The staff were so friendly and helpful, we’d recommend staying here.

The place sits in a peaceful valley, and our room looked out onto the garden with the pool just a few steps away. It was simple, clean, and had a comfortable bed. The host and staff were great, and I got all the help I needed sorting out transport. I’d suggest renting a motorbike from the host to explore the island. It’s easy.

The rooms were really quiet, and housekeeping cleaned ours every day. We stayed four nights recently and had a great time. The meals were good, and the restaurant staff were very helpful. We booked a day trip to Lan Ha bay through them. They drove us to the pier and collected us afterwards, which was very nice. The tour company was good too. I think it was a 5 star tour, and we had a delightful experience. We rented a scooter from them a few times. They’re quite well used, so we weren’t worried about scratching one. We did check each one carefully before taking it, since the first scooter had a bald tire.

There’s plenty of space to relax, and it seems like a nice place to spend time with family or friends. The rooms and bathrooms were comfortable, clean, and good. The food was delicious and there was lots of it, and the hospitality was amazing. It’s about 30 minutes from town, but they can arrange a taxi, so that wasn’t a problem for us.
