The rooftop pool on the 20th floor had a breathtaking view over Cua Lo beach, although the water seemed a bit dirty and could be cleaner. I spent two days at Summer Hotel during an off-peak period, when there weren’t many foreigners around. The location was handy, just a 2-minute walk to Cua Lo beach, and my room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Staff couldn’t speak English, so I relied on Google Translator, but they were friendly and willing to help. I was disappointed to find the spa closed for renovation, since that wasn’t mentioned on the website or booking platforms, and that affected my stay. The building also needs upgrading to keep up its standards and appeal. Despite these issues, I’d consider staying at Summer Hotel again if I return to Cua Lo. With some improvements, it could offer guests an even better experience.

I had a bad experience here, and wouldn’t really recommend staying. We booked three rooms. They were clean, but my aunt’s room and my parents’ room both had a stink smell. The window in my room had cracks, and all the children were staying with me, so I worried it wasn’t safe for me, my siblings, and cousins. We were on the 11th floor and nearly got stuck in the room because the door lock stalled. It took me, my siblings, and cousins 15 minutes of struggling to open it. The hotel looks good overall, but you may not have a good travel experience here.

The hotel itself is beautiful, and the staff were friendly. I’d recommend staying here if you’re in Cửa Lò. The town was the dullest part of our trip, though, with very little to see or do nearby. Without that lack of activities, I’d have rated the hotel five stars. I’d skip the town unless you already have a reason to pass through.

The bed and pillows were comfortable, but the rest was disappointing. The pool was filthy, the hallway carpet hadn’t been vacuumed, and breakfast let me down. The spa wasn’t open.

We slept really well in the clean, comfortable bed. Our room looked out over the beach, just across the street, and breakfast was a great buffet.
