Binh Duong Resident Hotel

The front desk woman was nice, but the room was a disaster. It was extremely old and damp, and the AC was broken. In the middle of the night it even got my bed wet, so I had to change rooms at 3:00am. Worst room I've ever had.

We booked a deluxe twin room described as having a “city view,” but there wasn't even a window. When I brought it up, the hotel blamed booking.com. I tried explaining that booking didn't assign the rooms, but the receptionist wouldn't understand what I meant. The room smelled strongly of damp, and the previous guests' towels and an old shirt were still in the wardrobe. It's cheap, but for a reason. Book carefully, the listing is false advertising.

The bed was so hard it felt like sleeping on a rock. I woke up once with my arm and hip completely numb. We also had a lot of my friend's clothes go missing after using the hotel's laundry. We had booked a garden-view room, but reception said there wasn't one and offered only a road-facing room, with noisy traffic during the day. The hotel is too far from the center. There are much better places to stay.

By morning, the luggage I'd left on the bed overnight was covered in ants, and there were more on the stained sheets. The floor was dusty and dirty, and construction was going on throughout the hotel. The balcony lock was broken, so it wouldn't close. There was no hot water when we arrived; after fiddling with the boiler, we eventually got it hot. The AC remote was missing, and the one reception gave me didn't work until they changed its batteries. Even then, some controls, like changing the airflow direction away from the bed, still didn't work. The advertised rooftop with a view on Agoda and Google Maps wasn't there. WiFi was so slow I couldn't load pages and had to use mobile data.
