We enjoyed our time in Cat Ba, and receptionist Duong helped make our stay comfortable. The rooms were clean, though construction was underway across the whole bay.

The location made it easy to get to nearby attractions while exploring the area. I felt welcome right from check-in, thanks to the friendly staff. My room was spacious, spotless, comfortable, and had all the amenities I could ask for. I had a wonderful experience and would happily stay here again. I highly recommend this hostel to anyone visiting.

The staff were very friendly to us, which was the good part. But there are 200 meters of construction where the beach used to be, so the view doesn't match the photos. The bathroom was dirty and smelled bad.

Construction work means there isn't a nice view, and it also brings more noise. The staff were pleasant, and the accommodation is in a strategic spot for a low price. The room was small and basic, but more or less clean. The mattresses are hard, or very hard.

They were very kind, spoke English well, and showed me around local spots. They also shared lots of tips. Highly recommend!
