Locals said the dog is kept there to guard the car and chickens, and you can see the cage in the photo. He’s a very sweet, gentle boy with no sign of aggression, but he’s tied up 24/7 with only about a meter of space. He has to eat, sleep, and go to the toilet in the same spot. We came across him right by the hotel entrance, tied to a palm tree with a wire. A wire, not proper dog equipment. The staff, or as locals call them, the hotel owner, are responsible for this. It’s not humane. In civilized countries this wouldn’t be acceptable. If you want foreign tourists and good reviews, don’t treat animals like prisoners. Shameful.

He’s tied to a plant just beside the entrance, and there’s hardly any space for him. The dog has no food or water, and when he tries to move around the plant, the wire twists around it and gets even shorter. The owners keep him on this extremely short “leash,” which is really a wire. They’re monsters for treating him this way.

They say he’s there to protect the car and chickens, but keeping a friendly dog outside 24/7 with wire around his neck is unacceptable. I feel so bad for him. I took photos in the daytime and at night, and he’s out there in both. Don’t support this business.

The owners are being cruel. There’s a poor dog tied up outside the hotel in a terrible situation.
