PH Hotel & Apartment

This was the worst place I've stayed at in Vietnam. It was extremely noisy, and the restaurant only offered a very limited breakfast. Despite what the advert said, it no longer served lunch or dinner. Bedsheets had been stuffed into the doors and windows to keep rain out. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

The studio apartment I was given at PH Hotel & Apartment was very spacious and clean. Its location is really convenient for a trip to Hai Phong, especially since it's close to Cat Bi airport.

The location was the only thing I could rate well. The service and room were disappointing. We were in room 1005 and our relatives in room 1003. We got back around 11 pm, hoping to shower before bed, but the water kept cutting out every three seconds. We'd wait a few minutes for it to “charge,” then get only a few more seconds of water. My wife went to the lobby to complain and was offered room 1105 for a shower, but it had the same problem. Our relatives had it too. It took us about an hour and a half to get the soap out of our hair and off our bodies, and we still felt unclean when we got into bed. At checkout the next morning, the receptionist just said there was nothing she could do because we'd already paid in full. My wife was angry that the staff didn't even apologize for the inconvenience and instead smirked. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else.

The staff were friendly, breakfast was good, and the location worked well for us. The apartment felt fresh and clean, with plenty of space, a comfortable bed and pillows, and a shower with strong water pressure. We wished we could have stayed longer. Thank you.
