Quynh Trang Hotel

We had a great view from our family room on the top floor, and the room was clean and spacious. The mattress was thin and hard, though. Staff were nice and helpful overall, even if they pushed tours a bit at first.

The food market is close by, and the price is great for what you get. I came back after really liking this hotel three months ago, and the staff are still very professional. The sixth-floor dorm was clean, though the lighting switches are a bit tricky. Cheap and a go-to spot for backpackers. I’d recommend it.

The family running this place keeps the hotel very clean and friendly. I had a great breakfast: fried noodles with vegetables and fruit were US$1.50, and coffee was US$1.00. The food was excellent. There’s a hotel upstairs, and lots of foreign tourists have left positive comments on the wall.

Avoid this hotel. The room was large and the air conditioning worked, but the problems were hard to overlook. We found ants in the bed even though we had no food in the room. There was no hot water for our entire stay, the towels had unattractive stains, the blankets smelled used, and the floors were dusty and dirty everywhere. The window wouldn’t close. We asked for it to be fixed five minutes after checking in, but nobody ever did it or checked back, and we didn’t have time to push for another room. The laundry was supposed to be ready the next afternoon. At 6 pm we were told it would be in our room, but it wasn’t. When we came back downstairs, we saw a man rushing to his motorbike to pick it up. Thank goodness someone outside the hotel had done it.
