My family and I had a short but lovely stay at Zen Hotel in the heart of Hai Phong, the charming port city. After more than 25 years in hospitality, I especially appreciated the warm welcome and the team’s positive, dedicated service. The hotel has clearly invested in comfortable, well-equipped rooms, a clean and inviting pool, an impressive restaurant, and thoughtful in-room amenities. I’d encourage the team to keep building guest service skills, knowledge of authentic local travel experiences, and English communication. Those areas could help Zen Hotel attract more European visitors and VIP groups soon. With its vision, commitment, and professional attitude, I believe it can reach the 4-5 star level and become a preferred place to stay for people visiting this welcoming port city. Thank you to everyone at Zen Hotel. I look forward to coming back.

The room felt like a comfortable retreat, with a king bed, crisp white linens, soft pillows, a modern bathroom, rain shower, deep tub, and a balcony with lovely views. The hallways were spotless and smelled of fresh flowers. Downstairs, the lobby had warm lighting, plush seats, and tasteful art that made it feel elegant but inviting. Check-in was quick and smooth, and the courteous staff and concierge were ready to help with rides, local suggestions, or room service.

We paid about $50 a night for four people, which felt like a great deal. The food was nice, and although service was a little slow, the staff were friendly. It can be hard to find, but it’s right behind a military zone, so security is high.

The staff and general manager were incredibly helpful throughout our stay, especially with our baby. They quickly arranged taxis, offered food recommendations, and helped with anything else we needed. When our baby suddenly developed a fever, they went out of their way to get her to the hospital and were genuinely kind, helping us feel at ease. The room was so comfortable and pleasant we were happy to stay in for days. It had a modern kitchen, fridge, and washing machine, along with a great range of amenities. To me, this is the best place to stay in Hai Phong, and I wish every hotel were like it.
