We arrived late, and my family and I were taken with our things to our rooms. Since it was so late, we went out to eat nearby. While we were eating, the hotel called to say they’d found another room for us. There were four of us, and we’d expected two rooms with two beds each, but they offered one room with four beds instead. They moved all our stuff over. What nobody knew was that I’d left my AirPods behind. I didn’t realize they were missing for two days. When I noticed, I panicked, rushed to reception, and searched with my parents for three hours, but we couldn’t find them. I thought they were gone for good in a city as huge as Hanoi. The next morning at breakfast, my father handed them to me. The staff had found them. Happy ending.
