The door eventually opened when a woman from the homestay came over, though she didn’t speak English. Before that, the owner was rude and kept putting the blame on us instead of helping. I couldn’t tell whether the door had locked after the staff member tested it from inside, so I stepped out to check and got locked outside. I called the owner, but he said he couldn’t come and had no spare key. He told me to buy a battery charger, charge the door lock, and enter the code. I did, but the lock still wouldn’t work. Then he accused me of breaking the charger and said I had to pay, even sending a video as supposed “proof” that I’d damaged it. It was ridiculous. Since he kept refusing to help and pushing it back on us, we said he needed to come fix it or call someone to open the door, otherwise we’d call the police. The whole thing was really frustrating. Definitely wouldn’t recommend it.

The location made things easy, just a three-minute walk from the old town, with a little shop on the corner for water and snacks. I stayed at this hotel twice, for a week in total, and it was perfect. The bedroom was new, clean, and really quiet, with a very comfortable bed. I slept well, and the staff were kind and helpful. I hadn’t expected such a good place so close to the old town. I really recommend it. Thanks for everything.

The location is a real plus, and even though the room is compact, its layout makes it feel bigger. It was easy to communicate with the owner, and checking in went smoothly. But it was uncomfortably hot when we arrived, and the air conditioning wasn’t working. The bathroom was surprisingly small, and the clear walls meant there was no privacy. From the bed, the only place to relax, I could see everything happening in the bathroom. There was also a see-through window from the bathroom to the hallway. This hostel isn’t suitable if you care about privacy, especially during personal moments.

The room was clean and alright, but I wouldn’t stay here because the hotel feels extremely unsafe. The code for the main door never changes, and there’s no staff or receptionist to help if something goes wrong. I also couldn’t see any smoke alarm. With so many fire hazards happening recently in Hanoi, please be safe and avoid hotels like this. You just don’t know what could happen.
