Avani Central Hanoi Hotel

The hotel sits down a quiet back alley, away from the busy main street, and the staff are polite and attentive to guests. We had a clean, roomy two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment with a washing machine, though the rooms feel dated. Breakfast was very good, including eggs made to order. One thing to keep in mind: the entrance has about 10 marble steps and no handrail. Staff do help with luggage.

The team made this stay for us. Daisy, Schatz, Alex, Dilan, and the rest of the staff welcomed us warmly and made the whole visit enjoyable. Our room was spacious and well kept, with comfortable beds and everything we needed. Breakfast had plenty of choices, and the central location was handy for exploring Hanoi while still being surprisingly quiet. We hadn't come across the 5% credit card surcharge before, but it didn't take away from a very positive stay.

They even let us shower before we left to catch our night train, which was much appreciated. Breakfast was filling, and the staff took personal care to prepare vegan and vegetarian options. The rooms are spacious and clean, with a washing machine, microwave, kitchen, and two bathrooms, so they work well for a longer stay. It's in a quiet spot near most Old Quarter sights. The staff were very friendly and offered a good itinerary, money exchange help, and local food suggestions, including options for vegans and vegetarians.

The location feels like a quiet little oasis, even though you're central to everything Hanoi has to offer. We stayed in a spacious one-bedroom apartment overlooking the characterful street, and the bedroom and bathroom in particular made it comfortable. The hotel arranged an airport pickup, which we appreciated after a long travel day, and check-in was so smooth we were in our room within five minutes. William, Andrew, and Alex were especially helpful with a Ninh Binh trip, restaurant suggestions, and our airport return. I'd happily stay here again.
