Azen Lakeside Apartment & Hotel

This is a review of the newer of the two hotels close together. The rooms are all new and have what you need for a short or longer stay. For the price, it’s a great hotel, even if it’s not the 4 seasons. Lily was the first person I met at check-in, and she made a great first impression during my five-day stay. She was friendly and helpful all week, around every morning with tips on what to see and what I could skip. I’d plan out my day and check with her, and she always had knowledgeable answers. The night guy, Da, I think he said his name was, was helpful too. I came and went at all hours and sometimes got food delivered, and he always greeted me with a smile and a good attitude. He helped secure my rental motorbike at night and get bags off it, and opened the door for me. Everyone else was helpful and willing to go above and beyond as well. The owner of these two hotels is opening a third one not far away in about a month. I might try it when I’m back in Hanoi. I would’ve extended my stay here, but already had a prepaid booking in the old quarter to get a feel for that neighborhood too. This place was well worth the money.
