The location isn't especially walkable, so it worked best for us as a place to stay the night before a flight. After a long day, though, the outdoor hot and cold onsen and sauna were great for unwinding. The hotel was very clean, the staff were lovely, and they even packed me a bento breakfast because I had an early checkout for my flight.

I was in Hanoi after coming from Saigon and left very satisfied. Breakfast is Japanese and filling, and there's a free minibar. The rooftop open-air bath is a nice place to unwind after work or travelling. The amenities are plentiful, including Japanese TV programs. The receptionists speak Japanese fluently, which made checking in, checking out, and asking questions easy. Even if you speak English or Vietnamese, using Japanese helps give the service that feeling of being in Japan.

Good value for the money, with a clean room, nice facilities and a very good breakfast. My only minus is that the receptionists and cleaners speak too loudly while working.

The open-air bath, or Rotenburo, was the highlight for me. It was comfortable, relaxing, and kept clean. You can also use the washing machine and dryer for free, with detergent and even fabric softener provided. The staff have good hospitality, and many speak Japanese. Room facilities are basic but clean and sufficient, though there wasn't a shoe-shine cloth. Watch out, the hot water can get very hot. If you have an early departure, they'll prepare a rice-ball box with advance notice. They have several branches in Vietnam, and I'd choose them again.
