Bubba Bed Hostel by OYO Rooms

What sets this Hanoi Old Town hostel apart is the staff. They're kind, always ready to help with a smile, and make you feel more like a friend in a big family than a customer. The price is good and breakfast is nice, too. Very recommended.

The beds were comfortable, the air conditioning worked really well, and the staff were friendly and helpful. From this hostel, you can walk almost anywhere in the heart of Hanoi. The door lock in my room didn't work properly, so reception noise carried through and we could smell smoke when people smoked downstairs. The bathroom lock was broken too. When we were inside, we had to hold the door to keep people out.

I chose this place because it was one of the only ones I could find with free motorbike parking. The stay was comfortable and the staff were friendly. There was an issue with another guest, through no fault of the hostel, and they gave me one night free because of that guest's behavior. I was happy staying here overall. The rooms can get very hot sometimes, and there are a lot of stairs to climb.

The staff made this hostel feel like staying with a family, and I loved the place enough that I'd come back to Vietnam just to see them again. Viet greeted me and was so friendly and accommodating; Viet, tung, dinh, and the rest of the team were amazing. The hostel was spotless, the beds were very comfy, and it felt like home. They shared traditional vietnemese hot pot with me and the others staying there, which was really kind. I was there for Christmas and didn't feel homesick even though I was away from my family. They had lots of tours to book at very reasonable prices. One of the best places I've stayed in south east Asia. Thankyou, bubba bed, for having me.
