Once I got to Hanoi after a long flight, they tried to charge me 600,000 VND above my booking price. The man at the property didn’t speak English, and even after I showed him my confirmation, he kept saying I owed more. He called a woman, who shouted at me in broken English that I could pay for one night and leave if I wouldn’t pay, and that I’d never find a place as good as hers near the center. I held firm and said I’d pay only the booked amount. The man then apologized, and soon after the woman sent me a WhatsApp message saying she’d mistaken me for someone else. They eventually took the correct amount, but only in cash. After that, the man kept coming into my room every day to do his personal laundry on the balcony. I felt uncomfortable with him entering while I was out, especially after what had happened.

The experience was pretty good overall, though there are a few things they could improve. The rooms were tidy and clean, and the staff were attentive and dedicated.

The price felt fair for the quality, and I’d consider staying again. Getting around was easy thanks to the convenient location near the city center. My room was clean and equipped well, and the staff were friendly and quick to help.
