The team were consistently kind, polite, and professional, and I want to be clear that my concerns aren't about the staff as people. We stayed two nights at Dusit Le Palais Tu Hoa Hanoi, and the experience left us with mixed feelings. The property is new, attractive, and well kept, and we especially loved the Thai restaurant. Still, the stay didn't feel up to what we'd expect from a luxury five-star hotel. Our biggest letdown was the package dinner. The booking details didn't make the restrictions clear, and when we asked the hotel about them, they did little to sort things out. My wife felt ill on the evening we planned to use the dinner, so she couldn't go to the restaurant. We asked if room service or another option might work, but were told no. We couldn't use something included in the package we had paid for. There were other inconveniences too. Our first room hadn't been cleaned properly, so we requested a change. The staff apologized, but we waited more than an hour for another room. That replacement had an entirely empty minibar, with no drinks, snacks, milk, or cold water, and we ended up ordering drinks from outside. The WiFi was unreliable during our stay and below what we'd expect of a luxury hotel in 2026. The arrival also felt more like a transaction than a welcome. We were asked to join the loyalty program before being offered a chance to sit and relax, while other guests seemed to have a more usual check-in experience. Across these situations, policies seemed to take priority over finding a workable solution. Luxury service depends on thoughtful problem-solving, and being flexible doesn't always cost more. In our case, another way to provide the meal might have cost the hotel less than the original inclusion and made us feel looked after. None of these things alone would have changed the stay much, but together they added friction that didn't fit the luxury experience the hotel aims to offer. The property has a lot of potential, and the staff were always pleasant and professional. Clearer communication and more room to respond to guests could make a real difference.

Breakfast was exceptional, and the room had thoughtful amenities that kept us comfortable for all three nights, including a heated toilet seat and bidet. The hotel sits in a quiet area, about 30 minutes from the airport and a 20-minute Grab ride from the old quarters and other attractions. Lotte Westlake Mall is an easy walk away. Our stay was just perfect, and we'd come back when we're in Hanoi.

The lobby used to have a lively feel in the evenings, but that atmosphere has disappeared. It's a shame because the hotel is a beautiful, carefully designed luxury property, yet it seems to be missing luxury management. It feels like a new Mercedes running on a Toyota engine. This was our fifth or sixth visit, and the service has slipped in recent months. We were first greeted by a contracted security guard who didn't speak English, with no bellman around. At check-in, the front desk staff were chatting among themselves, and one employee was openly picking his nose. The bar was out of rum for its signature cocktail, the draft beer system took three to four minutes per pour and wasn't working properly, and staff couldn't answer basic questions about the hotel. Paying in cash meant waiting while they looked for a cashier. The tacky happy-hour blackboards belong in a local pub, not a luxury hotel lobby, and wine at the Italian restaurant is wildly overpriced.

We spent six nights here and worked remotely from the hotel quite a bit. It's beautiful and very photogenic, with lots of open space, but at times it seemed events, photo shoots, and visitors from outside mattered more than the guests staying there. The common areas were often busy with outside visitors bringing professional photography setups. We were also asked to leave the lounge because an outside seminar had it reserved. By the pool, my husband was told not to lie on an outdoor couch even though nobody else was using the area. And when my Grab driver arrived, security loudly told both of us off. There weren't any clear signs explaining deliveries. The staff were polite, but service could feel strict and procedural, which made the stay less relaxing than we'd expected. It's a pretty place for photos, social media, and events 😅

I had a wonderful stay at this five-star hotel. The elegant room and thoughtful service made everything feel just right, and the staff were attentive and professional throughout. Special thanks to Hưng, the Duty Manager from the Front Office team. He was warm, supportive, and always ready to help with a smile. His enthusiasm made a real difference to my stay. I'd happily recommend the hotel for a luxurious, memorable visit. Thanks again!
