Mr. Lai let me in quickly when I arrived at 2am. My driver called the listed number, and he helped me check in. He’s always polite and smiles whenever I see him. I’m on the 6th floor with a balcony, and having a washer is handy when you’re traveling. The bed is pretty nice too, and so far it’s been a good stay with great value.

The rooms were fine for the price. I stayed in two different units over a few days. The manager, a former policeman, was extremely rude and disrespectful, though. He treated paying guests like dirt and acted like a bored government official who didn’t care about his job. He barely looked at me and ignored each question until I’d asked four times. He seemed very entitled for no clear reason. He also spoke and understood almost no English, so even crucial information had to be translated on a phone app. During every interaction, he couldn’t even respond to my “hello” or “thank you” in Vietnamese. His behavior was far below professional standards, and he wasn’t qualified for the job.

The service was great, and I’d stay at an Era apartment again if I returned to Hanoi. I accidentally booked another Era apartment in the city to extend my stay and had already paid online. The manager sorted it out with the other place so I could remain at the same hotel without paying extra. The rooms are clean and modern, with plenty of appliances, including a kettle, electric stove, and washing machine. The beds are very comfortable, and it’s great value for money. I really recommend it.

I had a really enjoyable stay. The room was nice, the location was good, and the price was right.
