Hanoi Ancient Paradise Hotel

I spent a week in Hanoi after visiting Vietnam from March 13, 2026, and stayed at Ancient paradise hotel. It’s a small, nicely kept hotel in the Old Quarter. The rooms were clean and could be refreshed daily on request. The decor was okay, and there were nice pillows and bedding, plus a TV, kettle, and hairdryer. Breakfast is the only meal served, though you can bring your own food in. There was a choice of hot and cold dishes, fresh local fruit, eggs cooked to order, and pho. The staff were helpful and good at giving directions. One night after midnight my wife felt unwell, and a staff member drove me to a local pharmacy, waited while I got medicine, and took me back. The area is lively, but we didn’t hear much at night. I’d definitely recommend it.

We spent seven days there in March 2026. It’s a decent mid-range option in the Old Quarter, with a good room, okay breakfast, and friendly, helpful staff. Our room faced the backyard and was quiet, apart from some kitchen noise in the morning, which wasn’t a big deal. It’s centrally placed, so it’s easy to walk around. If I returned, though, I’d probably stay in the French Quarter near the opera house and take a five-minute cab ride to the Old Quarter. That area is quieter, and the hotels are newer and roomier.

I enjoyed my three-night stay. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was delicious. There’s an elevator from the second to the fifth floor, and the staff can help carry your bags. They also offer motorbike rentals and airport taxi drop-offs.

What stood out most was how kind the staff were. They made sure my needs were taken care of so I could enjoy my time in Hanoi. The rooms are comfortable after a long day out, and breakfast is good. Ancient Paradise Hotel is in the Old Quarter and was a pleasure to stay at.
