iHome Apartment D'eldorado

The room was clean, but it looked completely different from the photos and wasn't what had been advertised. We'd booked a lake view, though you could only see the lake by leaning far over the balcony. The building looked modern and clean when we arrived, but no one knew we were checking in. We waited an hour in the foyer while they tracked down our reservation. The pool and gym were in the building, but using them cost extra, even though those were the reasons we chose the place. The bed was so hard my partner couldn't sleep on it and used the sofa instead. At 7:30 the next morning, someone knocked and demanded cash for the room, despite the policy saying cash wasn't accepted. We decided to leave and find somewhere else. The policy said free cancellation was allowed at any time. We offered to pay by card for the one night we'd stayed, but the host insisted on cash for every night. They then threatened and harassed us, repeatedly messaging on WhatsApp that they'd report us to the authorities and have us arrested and deported, while continuing to demand payment. We had to call the booking agency to get them to stop contacting us. The host was extremely unprofessional, hostile, and aggressive. Don't believe the other reviews.
