The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, but several things were wrong with the stay. I booked a family room with a balcony on Agoda, and my room had no balcony. Agoda also said the hotel had an elevator, but there wasn’t one, so older people had to climb the stairs. The front desk couldn’t explain why the owner had advertised an elevator there. Water dripped from the air conditioner during my first two days, and the old bathroom floor was slippery.

The location is right in the middle of Hanoi’s old quarters, which is perfect. The hotel has a lot of charm, the air conditioning works well, and so does the bathroom. The staff are friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. I highly recommend it!

The staff were really friendly and helpful. There are lots of restaurants and shops nearby, and the location is great. I stayed on the 4th floor, and with no elevator I couldn’t carry my bag up, but the staff kindly let me leave it downstairs. I was only there for one night.

There are loads of local food options around here, plus restaurants, pubs, and massage places. Hoan Kiem lake is close, and it’s easy to go out on the weekend walking street. The hotel is in a great spot in Hanoi Discovery, with a nice sunny, breezy street that’s lovely for photos. The staff were amazing and friendly, helping with everything from my trip in VN to things around Hanoi. The room price felt good for the space and location. I’ll definitely come back. Love it!

For a solo traveler trying to keep costs down without giving up privacy, Hanoi Discovery Hotel worked really well. My room had its own bathroom and a small fridge, which was handy. It’s centrally located, and the staff are helpful and friendly. A comfortable option that doesn’t cost too much.
