Pearl Hotel Dao Tan

The room was cozy, clean, and had everything I needed. The AC was pretty old and difficult to open, though. Reception helped me through Zalo, and a friendly guard was there to welcome me and show me what to do. He mentioned he was leaving the job, which was a shame. The homestay is a bit away from the main sights, but it works if you rent a motorbike or spend time in the neighborhood.

Nothing else was wrong with the place, and the room and location were both fine. The check-in process, though, was a pain. You have to call, then deal with a security guard who doesn’t speak English. The woman on the phone speaks it reasonably well, but not perfectly, and kept talking fast even when I asked her to repeat things.

Getting into the city center means taking a taxi, since this place is quite far out. Around the studio, though, there’s a Circle K convenience store and the Lotte center for shopping or hanging out. My rental was clean and comfortable, and the mattress had a nice feel, not too hard.

Quiet, tidy hotel and good value for the money. They also offer a monthly rate for people working nearby.
