The rooms were dirty and smelled of cigarettes, and the beds looked old and dusty. Nothing looked like the photos on the website. We asked to move rooms after seeing the mismatch, but the owner refused. When I asked to cancel, he wouldn't do that either and tried to charge me for the full three days for both rooms I'd booked. I had to call my credit card company to get my money back. They weren't honest with us, and the owner brushed me off when I spoke respectfully in my limited Vietnamese. I'm Vietnamese and had brought my kids to Vietnam for the first time to visit, so being scammed like this made for a terrible experience. Save your time and money and book somewhere else.

If your budget is an absolute constraint, this place will do. It gives you a roof and somewhere to crash without draining your wallet completely.

The water from the bathtub leaked across the floor, and the room slippers had holes in them, so they were useless for walking to the toilet without getting your feet wet. The room wasn't clean, and there was no drinking water in it. They said hot water would take 20 minutes. The staff were even worse. The hotel is on the first floor (UK), and we had to carry all our own luggage up the stairs because they said it was too heavy. Run!

We were in a junior suite in the hotel's modern section. Once we'd accepted the first room and settled in, we noticed it smelled bad. Staff were helpful and changed us to another room of the same size without question. It was lovely and spacious for two. The shower was the one issue: it wouldn't stay on the wall, and the temperature kept fluctuating. The location was perfect, the staff were friendly and attentive, and breakfast was delicious. Great value overall.

Breakfast was the one part of the stay I thought was decent. The room, though, looked nothing like the photos: it was very dated, with chipped paint and holes in the wood and bathroom. We were traveling with friends, and one of our rooms had a bad plumbing smell. For the price, I expected more. We’ve stayed at much nicer places for the same amount, with better service, rooms, and overall quality.
