Hanoi La Palm Premier Hotel&Spa

After busy days out, it was lovely to come back to a quiet room and unwind. The city stayed outside, even though the hotel is centrally located. Hoan Kiem Lake, the Old Quarter, and the Temple of Literature were all easy to reach. I spent three wonderful nights at the Hanoi La Palm Premier Hotel. It was an extraordinarily comfortable and memorable stay, and I'm very grateful for it.

All the staff were so lovely and helpful, always ready to do what they could to make the stay enjoyable. Our room had plenty of space for clothes, a mini fridge, complimentary water, tea and coffee, and a safe for valuables. The bathroom came with shower gel and shampoo. A lovely hotel in a great location, and very good value, especially with breakfast included. Thank you!

The Old Quarter and Night Markets are easy to reach from this hotel, and the location is great. But we found the family room for four very small and unclean. There were only four bottles of water, no stocked minibar, and just two cups and saucers for the four of us. When we asked at 8pm for extra glasses and cutlery or chopsticks, we were told they couldn't provide them. The bathroom wasn't clean and had mould in the shower. Internet worked only intermittently, often not at all, and we had to keep rebooting an old modem. The hotel safe wasn't connected, was locked, and was light enough to carry away, so it was useless. It's a four-story walk-up with no lift, something we weren't told before booking. For the price we paid in advance, this was no value at all, and the hotel refused a refund. It claims to be four stars, but two would be generous. We left after three nights of our five-night booking, out of pocket but very glad to go.

The place was clean and modern, and breakfast was great. Reception made everything straightforward, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Kang and Tiffany for the excellent service. I had an amazing stay visiting from the UK and would definitely recommend it.
