Hanoi La Storia Hotel

Our room had a street-facing window, but nearby noise wasn't an issue. The location was ideal for walking to all the shops, restaurants, and stalls we visited. The complimentary breakfast was always quick and fresh, with omelets, fruit, and pancakes. My friend and I stayed for a week and had a fantastic time. The young gentlemen at the front desk were incredibly kind and accommodating. We'd chat with them after exploring the Old Quarter, and they often suggested things to see or do. Our room and belongings were tidied and cleaned with a lot of care every day. Airport pickup and drop-off were available for an extra fee, and having that arranged was really convenient for us as foreigners. It made airport travel less stressful. The team were warm and welcoming, and housekeeping kept everything in great shape. We also had a strong shower and plenty of hot water. Our room had to be swapped for a smaller one on the first night, but the hotel arranged a complimentary ride to the airport when we left, which felt like a professional way to make it up to us. The Old Quarter location made it easy to walk to cafes, restaurants, Train Street, and the weekend night market. The room was on the small side, though the bed was comfortable and the linen clean. Breakfast tasted good, but choices were limited and it could take a while when only one person was preparing it. The WiFi stayed slow, and nearby construction made some daytime noise. Nights were quiet. We spent six nights here and had a good stay.

We felt at home here, especially with the friendly reception team, excellent housekeeping, and breakfast made fresh each morning. The staff also kept our bags for a night while we were away in Ha Long Bay. Around the hotel, there’s plenty of good food, massage spas, convenience stores, and ATMs, all in the Old Quarter. We loved our stay despite some construction noise from next door, which came and went during the day and even late at night. It was outside the hotel’s control, and the staff kept us informed and provided foam earplugs for guests. We were there in early January, when nights dropped to about 10°C. The building’s central AC was set to cooling when we arrived, but reception switched it to heating when we asked.

Breakfast was really good, but the noise from construction nearby kept disrupting my day. The room’s power socket wasn’t suitable for international plugs, so bring an adapter. If you’re thinking of staying here, I’d suggest waiting a couple of months for the construction to finish.
