Hanoi Luxury Hotel

The lobby seats were almost always empty, so there’s somewhere to hang out, though there isn’t much room for meals or working on a laptop. This isn’t a social hostel, but you can chat with other guests if you make the effort. I slept very well during my two nights at Luxury Backpacker, and the staff were professional. Ha Chu was especially friendly and helpful, with lots of information to share. The hostel is tucked into an alley in the Old Quarter, close to the cathedral, so it’s quiet despite the central location.

Ha Chu at reception was sweet and helpful, answering our questions and suggesting local restaurants. The location worked well for us, near a major street with shops, a grocery store, and a laundromat. Our room was simple and clean, with a big bed, and we were comfortable here.

We booked Luxury Backpackers at first, then were upgraded to a window room at Luxury Hotel, just around the corner. Hà Chu and Alex were both lovely, and Hà Chu was especially sweet and helpful with our bags and recommendations. The location was perfect for restaurants, cafes, and activities in the Old Quarter.
