Hanoi Serenity Hotel

The Old Quarter location is a big plus, with every attraction less than a 20-minute walk away. We stayed at Serenity Diamond for three nights, and it felt worth the price. There are plenty of nearby places to eat since breakfast wasn’t included, including the famous Vegan Banh Mi store, just a two-minute walk away. Aha Cafe and Circle K are handy for a quick breakfast, too. Our room was clean, and the bathroom was super clean as well, which made up for the limited space and creaky spring beds. Larger suitcases are a bit awkward to move around, though manageable. We were on the 2nd floor, which isn’t clearly or easily accessible by elevator, but the staff helped us find our way and with our luggage. Ruby was also very helpful at check-in and check-out.

Our room for two was surprisingly spacious, with a comfortable king-size bed that made it easy to relax. Serenity Diamond Hotel is also very well placed for getting around, with food, transport and other attractions nearby. Hanoi Train Street is just a short walk away, making it convenient to visit that distinctive spot. A wonderful stay, and I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Hanoi.

We arrived around 3 AM, and the staff were accommodating, answered all our questions, and made check-in smooth. They also let us check out late, which we appreciated. It’s best to arrange a late checkout ahead of time in case another guest is due after you. Our room had two separate beds and a city-view window. Toiletries and a hair dryer were provided, and the elevator was useful with luggage. After checkout, we left our bags in the lobby while waiting for our shuttle bus. There was comfortable seating, and we had time to get dinner nearby, do a little shopping, and take a short walk before returning.

I arrived at 3:30am and was in my functional superior room at Serene Diamond Hotel in no time. The staff were so kind despite the late hour, and offered a late checkout so I could get some proper rest. Great hospitality and location. Highly recommend!
