Hanoi Solis Hotel

They keep making guests feel welcome, and the service is still such a strong point. On this visit we got a tasty cake when we arrived, a complimentary room upgrade, and a nice surprise: the air conditioning was already on when we got to the room. They also gave us a late checkout, which we really appreciated. I've come back because every stay here has felt like five-star service. They pay attention to the little things, and the staff genuinely seem to care. I'd recommend the hotel and hope to return.

The rooms were clean, though a bit small, which is why I gave 4. Breakfast was honestly the best I've had at a hotel. You could tell the chefs put care into the food, and my whole family was already looking forward to it the next morning. The staff made us feel looked after from the start. They came across the street when we arrived, unloaded the luggage from our cars, and brought juice and snacks while we waited to check in. They explained what was available at the hotel, and nearly everyone greeted us with a smile. The doormen opened the door whenever we went in or out. When we left, they came outside holding umbrellas over us to shade us from the sun. I was fine without them, but appreciated the thought.

Even after we'd checked out, they let us leave our bags, rest, and shower, and offered us tea while we waited for our flight. That kind of hospitality really stood out. Happy also arranged our sleeper bus to Sapa, making sure pickup and drop-off were at the hotels, then called on the day so we wouldn't be late. Chloe was lovely and made sure we got lattes at breakfast. There are plenty of hotels in Hanoi, maybe some with more amenities, but the people at Solis hotel were especially kind and helpful.

Our room was gorgeous and huge, with live plants on the balcony and a separate place to watch TV. Breakfast was delectable too. The hotel is one street from the lake, right amid all the action, and the staff were wonderful and ready to accommodate all our needs. Best of Hanoi!
