Harmony Homestay Vintage of Old Quarter

Hoan Kiem lake is only a 6-7 minute walk away, and there are plenty of amenities easily accessible around the old quarter. The house is very well maintained. If you’re after an affordable homestay in a strategic location, this is worth considering, especially for solo travelers or people from young to middle age.

I enjoyed staying at Harmony House, with its cozy feel and excellent spot near the city’s central activities. I liked having so many dining options nearby. Some people have mentioned odors they attribute to the sewers, but I think the hotel and neighborhood have a historical charm worth recognizing. We rented the whole place for a group of 10, and it was a mistake. The two lower floors had a really disgusting smell of mold and sewers, so we had to open the windows to air them out. We contacted the owner, who blamed us and claimed we had eaten food in the house without rinsing properly. That felt arrogant, with no service or hospitality. The place is so moldy it’s uninhabitable. The government should look into closing it down.

The host responds to requests, but the house was so dirty it was close to uninhabitable. As soon as we entered, there was a powerful smell of sewage and mildew, and several rooms smelled like straight smog. Mold covered the bathrooms, and there were dirty footprints on the walls. We’ve never been so eager for a vacation to end.
