Hoang Gia Hotel Dong Tru -by Bay Luxury

It’s an affordable hotel, close to restaurants and a traditional market. In the evening, you can sit outside with beer, barbecue chicken wings, and oysters. There are also high-rise buildings nearby.

We left and found another hotel after they refused to check us in at 3 pm. Check-in starts at 2, but they said a note on Booking.com suggested we might arrive later. We hadn’t asked for that, and even if we had, it didn’t mean we couldn’t come earlier. They offered no solution and didn’t apologize for the trouble. The room they charge 600k for is tiny and awkward, based on a previous stay, and the location is also inconvenient, especially with traffic since it’s far from the center. The service was awful. I’d give zero stars if I could.

There was plenty of space in the room and it was well equipped. When I checked in at 2 PM, though, it was still damp. It looked like the previous guest may have checked out late.

There were lots of shops and places to eat nearby, which made getting around convenient. The room was clean and nice, the rates were fair, and the staff were really enthusiastic. 100/10 for this hotel! 😍
